Spring into Easter with the Land Trust

If you’re looking for some family friendly activities to get you out and about this Easter, the Land Trust can help.

National land management charity the Land Trust owns, manages and maintains sites across the country, including Frickley Country Park, Port Sunlight River Park, Fryston Country Trails and the iconic Lady of the North at Northumberlandia.

Come and join the Easter Scavenger Hunt at Frickley Country Park on Tuesday 22nd March 2016.  Drop in any time between 11am and 2pm and use the map provided to solve the clues to find the Easter goodies! There is a charge of 50p per child for this activity.

There’s plenty of fun to be had at the Treasure Hunt at Northumberlandia on Saturday 26th March 2016 and Easter Egg Painting on Wednesday 30th March. Drop in to the Visitor Centre and Café between 10am – 3pm to collect the first clue which will lead you on a trail around the site where you can explore the woodland and its inhabitants on your way. Collect the answers to questions along the trail and receive a prize at the end!  This activity is suitable for all children aged between 4-10.  Booking is required and there is a charge of £3 per child.  Please bring warm clothes and waterproofs.

Join in on the Easter Egg Hunt & Trail at Port Sunlight River Park on Monday 28th March 2016 between 11am – 3pm.  Explore the park and take in the views across the River Mersey and surrounding area as you search for clues.  Easter Egg Hunts for children aged 2 – 6 years will take place at 12 noon and 2pm.  Refreshments will be on sale and craft activities will also be available throughout the day.

There’s something for everybody at Fryston Country Trails Fun Day on Friday 2nd April 2016 between 11am – 3pm.  Activities include Kite Making, Graffiti Art Workshop, Birds of Prey Display, Dog Agility Show and the opportunity to take part in traditional crafts with the Friends of Fryston Woods. You could even meet Tiger Man, the mascot of Rugby League team Castleford Tigers!  This event is free entry but some activities may carry a small charge.  Please make sure you wear suitable outdoor clothing and footwear.
