Northumberland Wildlife Trust
Northumberland Wildlife Trust (NWT) was founded in 1971 to protect wildlife and promote nature conservation within Newcastle, North Tyneside and Northumberland. They are a non-government funded charity, supported by membership, donations, local businesses and charitable trust grants.
NWT manages over 60 nature reserves and works with partner organisations such as the Land Trust, local authorities, the Environment Agency and the Forestry Commission to identify and care for other sites of conservation importance.
